1. Access the website of Civil Registry
2. Create your account by providing the platform with your personal data, such as full name, cell phone, email, date of birth and other information;
3. Confirm your account via the email sent to your inbox, but also check your spam if you can't find it quickly;
4. Return to the website and enter the login and password as stated in the registration;
5. On the home page, click on the “Birth” option in the menu for requesting duplicate certificates;
6. Wait for the page to be redirected to the form;
7. Fill out the form indicating the state, city and the registry office responsible for issuing the certificate;
8. In the next step, fill in your personal data such as full name, date of birth, CPF number and father and mother's name, as these are mandatory information;
9. If you have access to your old certificate, use the leaf and term data;
10. If you lost the document, click “Next” to proceed regardless;
11. Choose how the duplicate of your birth certificate will be sent, by email or printed on official paper;
12. Review all data entered;
13. Read and agree to the Terms of Use;
14. Check the value of the duplicate and select the payment method to finalize.

How to receive the document?

Applicants can choose whether they want the second copy of the document to be sent to the email registered on the platform or printed on official paper, like the first version. Later in the request, before the duplicate payment stage, citizens can choose the best way to receive it.

Currently, the Civil Registry authorizes delivery by Sedex or registered mail. Regarding values, the charge is between R$ 20 and R$ 50 reais depending on the delivery fee, location and type of shipping selected.
