The Women's World Cup
Did you know that the women's version of this great tournament only came to life in 1991, in China? Yes, and the Americans were the first champions. Brazil marked its presence with a runner-up finish in 2007 and, as a bonus, we have Marta as the greatest scorer in the history of the World Cups, counting both categories.
The Brazilian Touch in the History of the World Cup
Stop and think: Brazil is the only country that has been present in all editions of the men's tournament. Our first achievement came in 1958, in Sweden, with a young Pelé stealing the show. Then came the bi in 1962 in Chile, with Garrincha running the show. After a lack of titles, the fourth title arrived in 1994 and the fifth in 2002. In other words, when it comes to the history of the World Cup, there's no way not to mention the Canarian team.
